What is Enrollment? 

Enrollment is the six-week period after you have received your acceptance letter and before you decide to commit to the Summer Search program. It's a time for you to try out the program and decide if Summer Search is the right fit for you. In order to commit to Summer Search, you'll need to complete the following steps on the Enrollment Checklist below by the enrollment deadline.

Read through the Welcome Letter and High School Program Site

Read through your Welcome Letter, and go through the High School Program site on your own and with your mentor. Both contain important information about the program.

Have a Welcome Conversation with your mentor

During the Welcome Conversation, you will get a chance to meet your mentor, go over expectations, and learn a little bit more about Summer Search. You will also schedule your first mentoring call and/or group.

Complete your summer experience survey

The Summer Experience Survey, is where we get the information that we need to place you on your first summer experience so be sure to fill it out by the deadline!

Talk to your parent or guardian about Summer Search

Before your mentor calls your parent or guardian, make sure to let them know that you applied for Summer Search, tell them what Summer Search is, and make sure they've read the Information Letter for Parents and Guardians

Have at least one follow-up call with your mentor and attend group

We ask that you have at least one follow-up call with your mentor and attend one group mentoring session so that you can try out mentoring and decide if it's something that you want to commit to.

Decide if you want to commit to Summer Search!

We respect your decision either way, but please let your mentor know whether or not you want to commit to Summer Search by the enrollment deadline. If you decide to commit, continue to steps 7, 8, & 9

Electronically submit and sign your student contract and code of conduct agreement

Your student contract and code of contact agreement will be sent to you via DocuSign. Please be sure to sign and return these before the enrollment deadline.

Have your parent electronically sign and submit agreement and release of liability

The agreement and release of liability will be sent to your parent electronically via DocuSign. Your parent will need to sign and submit before the enrollment deadline.

Complete the 10 minute Summer Search Sophomore Survey

This survey will be emailed to you. We ask that all sophomores complete it since we use the information you provide to update our program and make sure Summer Search is serving the needs of our students as best as we can.
